"To see a world in a grain of sand
And a heaven in a wild flower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand,
And eternity in an hour."
Auguries of Innocence, William Blake

I've created so many worlds for role playing games that they are like grains of sand. And I will create many more before I'm done I s'pose. I've got so much stuff lying around that I've decided to put a bunch of it out there for anyone that's interested.

Here's some maps from my current D&D 5th edition campaign.
This campaign started with the dungeon in this book:
Which was the very first dungeon I ever played in. I lost 22 characters before I got past the first room! Probably because I kept rolling so poorly for starting money that I could only afford a club and no armor. But Tom Swift 22nd lived! He eventually made it to 8th level after many years of playing! Anyhoo, I started with the basic information given for that dungeon and then built my campaign world around that using an alternate version of Earth and New Brunswick based on this map:
Source: The Internets

The city of First port is based on the West Side of my hometown:

The local region, known as the new world is based on my home province of New Brunswick. Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island have been expunged from the map. Sorry Bluenosers and Spud Islanders.

I found this map on the internets too and modified it heavily. it was on a site that had something to do with watersheds.

This is the player's map of the Known World. The founders of Firstport fled the religious wars of the old World to build new lives free from the constant, devastating warfare.

This is the physical map of the whole world, again based on the human migrations map.

And finally here is the whole world map with my cryptic GM labels on it.
