"To see a world in a grain of sand
And a heaven in a wild flower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand,
And eternity in an hour."
Auguries of Innocence, William Blake

I've created so many worlds for role playing games that they are like grains of sand. And I will create many more before I'm done I s'pose. I've got so much stuff lying around that I've decided to put a bunch of it out there for anyone that's interested.

Last night I dreamed I was a British Redcoat running down Lorneville road in the snow to repulse a landing of Yankee rebels. I suddenly realized I had no musket so I took a pencil from my pocket and drew one in the snow. When I finished drawing it, it materialised into 3 dimensions and I was able t use it. It only had one shot of course, so I killed one rebel that way, then used the bayonet and butt to kill a few more, somehow that segued into herding white camels, but that doesn’t matter.

The dream gave me the idea for a magic item that I call, Ortigon’s Stylus of Conjuration. This is a pencil with a small penknife attached to it by a fine silver chain. A complete stylus may be used to draw 20 objects total. The objects must be drawn on top quality calf vellum and in order to function must be drawn life size. The stylus can only be used to conjure non-magical and non-living items such as tools, weapons, clothing, armor etc. The conjured item will manifest itself the same size as it is drawn. The artistic abilities of the weilder are irrelevant, the stylus understands the intent. The weilder may draw the worst looking broadsword in the world, but the sword manifested will be a top quality weapon. When it comes to money and gems, the weilder must draw each coin and gem individually, and each counts as a single use of the stylus. Basically, whatever can fit on the piece of vellum can be drawn. Once the weilder decides what it is they wish to draw and touches the stylus to the vellum, the Stylus takes over and draws the object in one round. The object manifests and is ready to use in the next round.
