"To see a world in a grain of sand
And a heaven in a wild flower,
Hold infinity in the palm of your hand,
And eternity in an hour."
Auguries of Innocence, William Blake
I've created so many worlds for role playing games that they are like grains of sand. And I will create many more before I'm done I s'pose. I've got so much stuff lying around that I've decided to put a bunch of it out there for anyone that's interested.

Hordlings Project Update.
I am a little more than halfway through revising the stats/writeup for each Hordling. After they are done, I will write up a preface and introduction ( already mostly done), whatever administrative bumf that needs to be in the front. Possibly get an ISBN number. After the hordlings entry I'm going to include tables that list hordlings by size, a blank Hordling creation form, tables to generate your own Hordlings, and then whatever OGL bumf I need to include, need to create front and back covers and then lay it all out.
Some lessons learned:
Make the drawings less static. I.E. show the creature actually doing something like chewing on an orphan etc.
Make the projects shorter (say no more than 20 pages/creatures)
Make the projects have a cohesive theme, e.g. 20 Hordlings (or whatever ) that will only serve evil summoners.
Come up with a wider range of individual characteristics and abilities and focus on writeups that elucidate the uniqueness of each creature.
I'm sure I'll have a few more items to add to this list before I'm done. At this point my optimistic guess for completion is end of June, but we'll see!

Another old area map. This is a page from a large map that was 8 pages wide and 6 pages high. The town on this map is called Koboken. I don't know what the village to the south of it was called. There's a well marked trail to a mountain dungeon with ambush spots at A and B, and a red dot to indicate the Dragon's secret entrance. Obviously this was the DM's map.

1003 page views! Woo-Hoo!
This map is a template I used for a Traveller game set in a Dyson Sphere made up of over 300 million "copies" of Earth designed by a superior Over-race to play out variations of Earth's history. The players managed to make it to two worlds, one where the Nazi's had won and one where Rome hadn't fallen before we stopped playing it. This is all that's left of the notes from that campaign. Played in about 1992 I believe. Maps seem to be the only thing I manage to hang onto.
This is a map of the earth with selective lowering of the oceans. I originally drew it on an assembled 20 sided "ball" then disassembled it and drew it larger on single sheets. I did this about 15 years ago, possibly longer. I just scanned all the separate pieces again and reassembled them in photoshop.

Horse-powered train.
I copied this from a library book a long time ago. I don't think it was ever built but I thought it would make a cool Dwarven infernal contraption.
Character Portrait Template
At least that's what I intended to use this for. I like the medieval illumination style. I may do a series of these for various classes. Yep that's what I need another project on my list!

Wow I haven't posted anything since May 3rd! Allergy season has been kicking the shit out of me and I have also been hella busy moving stuff out of my church and getting it ready to sell (I mean the church I belong to not my own personal church). I am working away on getting my hordlings book into shape and also doing some research for upcoming projects. One thing for sure, every project I do from now on will be much smaller in scope, and all major undertakings will be broken down into small publishable pieces. In the meantime here's a couple of old doodles of mine.
